Expiration … and everybody had to buy …
Not unexpectedly, market made a nice move on expiration day … this time to the upside … showing, that too many market participants are too bearish and still short.
The longer term picture is still not decided … BUT … now the Bulls have a slight advantage over the Bears …
Looking at statistics … the market has an around 70% chance to move up between Christmas and the end of the year … and … January is often a positive month … the only thing, which disturbs … despite the fundamental picture … is that we had a down market before today on FALLING VOLATILITY … which usually is NOT a bullish sign …
It might be the time … after X-mas … to have a close look on the charts again …
